Please handle delicate pieces with care to prevent tangling or knocks to stones. Watch out for hard surfaces such as glass doors and trolley handles! I also recommend that you take off your jewellery while you sleep. Do not wear your jewellery when doing gardening, housekeeping or exercise and please do not expose your jewellery to household cleaning products, chlorine swimming pools or hot tubs.

All pearls and gemstones have been strung on 100% natural silk (except for earrings) which should not be immersed or worn in water.

To preserve your pearls' radiance, always apply perfumes and creams before putting them on. This applies to any gemstone jewellery too. Never use dips or abrasive cleaners. All stones can be cleaned using a clean soft cloth.

If you catch/snap your piece of jewellery please don’t worry, these things happen! Try and collect as many of the pearls or gems as possible as well as any other components. Please email contact@by-suz.co.uk and your item can be re-strung for a fee of £25.

*Please note, if you have lost any pearls or semi-precious stones, I may not have the same ones available. However, I will always try to mend as best as possible using stones or components similar to the original creation. Extra stones may be chargeable.

I recommend that you keep your jewellery in its original box or pouch when not worn. This stops the jewellery from getting tangled or scratched. I do provide a cover cloth which should give your jewellery another layer of protection.

Do not immerse your silver or gold vermeil in water. Silver overtime will tarnish but a soft cloth will keep the silver looking lovely and storing it well when not being worn will help.

Gold vermeil is a thick layering of gold over sterling silver and will eventually wear away. However, you can keep the gold lasting longer if it’s kept in a box when not worn. A clean soft cloth can help to keep the vermeil looking its best. Please do not immerse in water and do not expose these metals to household cleaning products, chlorine swimming pools or hot tubs.

If you wear your pieces often, over time you may find that your jewellery needs to be re-strung.
